Learning Outcomes

Recognise and respond to signs of clinical deterioration and cardiac arrest.

Conduct a structured primary survey using the A–E approach to assess critically ill patients.

Apply the DRSABCD approach and perform effective basic and advanced life support.

Demonstrate safe airway management techniques and effective ventilation.

Accurately attach and interpret ECG monitoring and recognise shockable and non-shockable rhythms.

Assess and manage patients presenting with chest pain and anaphylaxis.

Safely operate a defibrillator and deliver defibrillation when indicated.

Participate effectively as a member of a resuscitation team using structured communication and leadership.

Understand principles of post-resuscitation care and appropriate escalation processes.

Assessment Requirements

Successful completion of all e-learning modules is a prerequisite for the face-to-face training day.

Participants are assessed continuously during the face-to-face component through practical skill assessments and high-fidelity simulated clinical scenarios.
